WRC 2022 logo revealed

World Ringette Championship logo hides a ringette stick and a ring.

The World Ringette Championships will be played in Espoo, Finland 31.10-6.11.2022. The President of  the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö acts as the patron of the World Ringette Championships in Espoo. The WRC preparations are underway and the logo has now been published.

The theme of the WRC will be “the success story written by the players”, which describes and honors the hard journey that all the players and teams are going through after difficult times.

“We want our players to receive all the attention that they have earned with their hard work. Our goal is to create an experience and an event of a lifetime for both our players and ringette audience which we have never seen in Finland or in Canada”, tells the Secretery General of WRC2022 Ira Merivaara.

The visual appearance was created to express the speed, the athleticism and the energy of the game in a modern way. In addition, the design of the logo got an inspiration from the recent Ringette Finland rebranding process this autumn. It was built around the unique special features of ringette and the concept of “a ringette handwriting”. From the WRC2022 logo you can spot a stick and a ring.

“In addition we wanted to bring out the country where the WRC is going to be held. This can be seen in the main colors”, comments Ringette Finland’s Communications and Marketing Manager Katariina Kurikko.
